Adya Pulp & Paper Consultants has been set up by experienced
paper mill engineers for providing technical consultancy and
engineering services to the pulp, paper and allied industries. It was
originally set up as "Adya Consultants" and has been in
business since 1978.It is managed by partners who have held very
senior positions in paper mills as well as machinery manufacturers and
other organisations associated with the paper industry.
Besides the partners, the services of a number of senior and junior
technicians and experts in different fields of pulp and paper
manufacture, conversion as well as engineering are being utilized on
full or part time basis. A number of paper plants, using various types
of raw materials and producing a wide variety of paper and boards,
have been set up in different parts of the country under the guidance
of this organisation. The involvement includes all the technical
services required from the conception of the project up to
satisfactory performance. Also, this consultancy organisation has been
involved in expansion and modernisation of various existing units as
well as rehabilitation of sick units. A list of major assignments
undertaken so far is attached. It will be noted that the projects
handled mainly include small and medium sized plants based on
nonconventional raw materials requiring specific technologies. All
these projects have been successful both technically and commercially.
Even after completion of their assignment, the consultants are in
constant touch with the plants set up or upgraded under their guidance
and are assisting them in further improvement in their performance.
They are also providing similar service to many other mills through
periodic visits. The organisation is empanelled with the leading
financial institutions of the country, enlisted with the "Directory of
Industrial Consultants" being maintained by the IDBI, as also in the
brochure "Consultancy and Contract Engineering Organisations"
published by the India Investment Center.
Besides the main office at Calcutta, due to large number of
assignments in Northern India, a branch office, headed by one of the
partners, has been established at Lucknow, since 1991. The major
assignments of the organisation include detailed planning &
feasibility study for setting up of a 50 TPD Kraft paper plant at
Sultanate of Oman and a
65 TPD Writing/Printing & Kraft paper mill in the Kingdom of Nepal, in
addition to the modernisation & expansion projects of mills in India,
already set up under their consultancy. |
